As we continue to reflect on The Starry Night 50th Celebration, an unforgettable evening celebrating 50 years of The Center for the Arts & Sciences, our hearts are full of gratitude. 🦋🦋🦋LAST CALL!!!🦋🦋🦋 The submission period for the Los Vivos y Los Mu***os 4th Annual Juried Exhibition will close on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 at 11:59 PM! Submit NOW: https://losvivosylosmuertos2026.artcall.org/

Los Vivos y Los Mu***os is an exhibition featuring art that explores and honors the cultures, heritage, traditions and rich history of Mexico and the southwest United States with a concentration on work inspired by Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead).

Established and emerging artists (ages 14 and above) are invited to submit images of completed work for consideration. A Best in Show prize of $1,000 will be awarded to a single piece. Ribbons will be awarded to the winner in each media category for an emerging artist and an established artist.

The art exhibition will be held at The Center for the Arts & Sciences, hosted by Brazosport Fine Arts Council, from Tuesday, October 6 through Monday, November 2!

PLEASE NOTE: The Center will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day! 🔨🔧🪛 This includes BASF Planetarium, Brazosport Museum of Natural Science and Brazosport Art League.

We will reopen on Tuesday at 9:00 AM as usual.

While Brazosport Museum of Natural Science is CLOSED through the weekend due to some updates, Brazosport Art League gallery and BASF Planetarium are OPEN as usual! Swing by the gallery between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM and get to the planetarium by 12:30 PM for Star & Space Story Time before the planetarium show at 1:00 PM.

The Elizabethan Madrigal Feast brings performers and audience together through music, dance, and Shakespeare, creating a unique theatrical experience.
