There is so much to see in our reference area! Community, School and Family documents and photos. We have cemetery maps and over 8,400 obituaries of local residents and natives. There are birth/marriage/death certificates that may assist you with your own family ancestry.

Visit our museum and explore all that we can offer, and start your OWN family binder to add to our collection!

We're open from 1 PM to 5 PM Sundays and Thursdays, and from 10 AM to 2 PM Saturdays (summer months). There is never a fee for admission - donations are always appreciated.

Thank you to Mark who wore his fancy hat and provided live music to greet guests at our Grand Opening. Our newest friend of the museum, Curtis, joined in as well!

When you visit or pass by our museum, take note of the many photos of historic buildings with banners positioned to celebrate events in the years gone by. Also in place are some photos of the marching band at local and national parades!

Visit our museum Sundays and Thursdays from 1 PM to 5 PM. We will be open this Saturday, May 30, from 10 AM to 2 PM as well. There is never an admission fee -- donations are always appreciated!

While our museum celebrates the rich coal mining history of the region, it also contains thousands of items from throughout the Glendale Valley area such as photos, documents and objects from businesses, industry, and family heritage.

Perhaps you'll be surprised at how many people lived and worked in the region at brickyards, auto dealers, hat shops, taverns, confectionary stores, and so many other businesses.

We are just a few days away from Memorial Day Weekend and our Grand Opening! Visit our museum during our special SATURDAY hours this weekend (10 AM to 2 PM) as well on SUNDAY for our GRAND OPENING (1 PM to 5 PM).

The museum is nearly prepared for our big event with just a few new displays to finalize. We hope to see you this weekend and again and again as new memorabilia are added our collections and our temporary displays educate and entertain guests.

Visit our museum every Sunday and Thursday from 1 PM to 5 PM. Watch for special summer hours on Saturdays and weekday evenings. Special tours can be provided (contact information below).
