A rare photograph of Vincent Van Gogh taken in 1873 when he was 19 years old. When the image was taken, Vincent worked for the Goupil & Cie art dealership in The Hague, shortly before being relocated to their branch in London, England. It is the only known photograph of Van Gogh's face. Credit: lori.follart.history_in_color

Hi everyone and thanks for following us all these years. Our little app would not exist if it wasn’t for an intital project we did with the Chester County Historical Society back in 2012. If you could sign in here and give them 5 votes so they could get some money to fix things up, they can be a resource for other folks in the future.

You may not know where it is on a map, but these folks in Chester County took a chance on us back when all this stuff was just a crazy idea. It is something we are eternally grateful for and we can honestly say we wouldn’t probably exist without them.

If you are in the New York, Chicago, Washing D.C. or Minneapolis regions, we have been able to come to your community from the Philadelphia suburbs because they helped us grow, so if you could give them some votes it would mean a lot to us.

Please, it just takes a second. We are sure that if everyone who followed us gave 5 votes they would blow this out of the water. Thanks, and let’s put them over the top!

Partners in Preservation returns to Main Street as we spotlight 20 sites rich in women's history. Vote daily through October 29 for the Main Street you want to see receive a share of $2 million in preservation funding provided by American Express.

Adrian Borda is an artist and photographer from Reghin, Romania. Borda managed to take a fascinating series of photos from the insides of old instruments like a cello and contrabass. To achieve these shots, Borda fit a Sony NEX-6 camera equipped with a Samyang 8mm fisheye lens inside the instrument....
