Got a Mt. Carbon Bavarian neon today! Had to swap out for a working transformer from another neon, get the glass better attached to the frame, and give everything a good cleaning. Now you have Yuengling and Mt. Carbon from Pottsville on the left, and Ortlieb's and Schmidt's from Philadelphia on the right. All of them hard to find, and old.

Just picked up the big half keg this weekend, from Eagle Brewery out of Catasaqua, PA. Tough to date, but it's a beauty. These bigger barrels are tough to find in nice shape. The quarter keg is Iron City Brewing Co. In Lebanon, PA which means somewhere between 1899 and 1920. The top from a half keg says Louis F Neuweiler's Sons, which means after 1925. The number 33 is carved in the top, probably meaning 1933, so it's likely a barrel made as they ramped up production following Repeal.

Picked up the 12" Seitz tray today. The smaller tip tray is pretty common, but the big ones are a lot tougher for this Easton brewery that only made it 4 years after Prohibition. Both trays date from 1934-1938.

That beautiful dark blue bottle is the oldest of the lot - it says Seitz Bros which means 1877-1897. Based on the style, it's likely early in that period. The paler bottle to the right is also Seitz Bros, but a little later. The pale bottle on the left is Seitz Brewing Company, which means between 1897 and Prohibition.

Love the eagle theme on those trays.

Here's a really nice example of a tray from The Lion Inc. out of Wilkes-Barre, PA - better known as Gibbons Brewery. This tray having The Lion Inc. trade name dates it to the first decade after the end of Prohibition, before the 1943 name change.

We've added some serious neon beauty to the Historic Corner Bar this weekend. Check out this Kaier's piece, out of Mahanoy City, PA - there are just not many of these around. Many thanks to Christopher Watt for offering to sell it to me. It has found its new home.
