September is here, and Gallery 113 has two new featured artists! This month’s theme: The Allure of Autumn!
Gallery 113’s Featured Artists, April Stark and Pattie Bowler, honor the coming of autumn with strokes of the rich, deep colors it owns. There’s a joyful romance sensed in April’s paintings of fall’s elegance in the Rockies. Pattie’s textured, sometimes whimsical, abstracts also celebrate these hues, but in a completely different style. The works of both artists embrace the splendor of the new season.
Join Gallery 113 in the revealing of new works by April and Pattie, as well as creations by 17 other local artists during First Friday Art Walk at 125 N Tejon St, Colorado Springs, September 4th, from 5 to 8 pm.

It’s a new month with two new featured artists- Irv Middlemist & Carey Pelto! Artists bring memories to life. Irving Middlemist and Carey Pelto are two of Gallery 113’s premier painters whose memories drive their artistic endeavors. Middlemist’s artwork recreates memories of Colorado’s spectacular scenery, such as Pagosa Springs, through color, collaged elements, and planned spaces. Pelto’s peopled paintings offer glimpses of his memories through the settings, compositions, and colors he uses in several different mediums: watercolor, pastel and ink. Gallery 113 proudly showcases these artists along with the other 16 local artists who host a First Friday Art Walk, August 7 from 5 to 8 pm with live music and complimentary snacks and beverages. Celebrate and make “Memories” with all Gallery 113’s local artists.

“Dark Sky Over the Pulpit” is a beautiful new painting by Kim LaRousse. At dimensions of 3’x4’, its presence is sure to fill a room and be a conversation starter. This gorgeous painting is soon to be hanging at Gallery 113- come check it out at First Friday Art Walk on August 7, from 5-8pm. Wendy Iaconis, Potter Extraordinaire, has some new art for sale at Gallery 113! New mugs and ring holders are available, in addition to many other pieces. Check out her horsehair fired designs, too! Gallery 113 celebrates the art of two member artists for July. Mary Sexton’s pastel paintings hum their stories to the viewer in soft strokes of nature’s colors and invite the viewer in to rest in that peace her paintings pose. John McClusky photographs Colorado’s magnificence with rich realism that begs the viewer to enter into his presentations of iconic wonders. Both of these featured artists will be on hand to discuss their work at the First Friday Art Walk on July 3 at 125 N. Tejon. Join us for complementary wine and chocolate from 5 - 8 pm and enjoy live guitar music by Mark Jakusovszky.
