We are hosting our special two-part Beginning Genealogy Workshops again! This educational series is designed to help individuals begin or advance their journey into family history research with a special emphasis on African American genealogical and historical records.
Register: https://forms.gle/AEEEk23iwKg5W4Pz8
The first session (12 September 2026) will introduce participants to essential genealogical research practices. The second workshop (19 September 2026) will take a deeper look into specialized records and methods. We will provide a tour of the Penrose Library Special Collections Department and the Family History Center.
This hands-on experience will help participants understand how to use valuable research tools and archives. Attendees must register for both parts. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged!
