Surrounded by artworks that explore perception, technology, and the complex relationship between humans and the natural world, participants will be guided through movement, breathwork, and meditation designed to cultivate presence and reflection. The resonant sounds live music create an immersive atmosphere that deepens the experience, offering space for contemplation, restoration, and connection.

[UPDATED WITH CORRECT TIMES AND DATES]
Join us for Q***r Dharma, a free community yoga practice held within GOCA’s current exhibition, Simulacra. Surrounded by artworks that explore perception, representation, and the increasingly blurred boundaries between the natural and constructed worlds, participants are invited to slow down, connect with their bodies, and cultivate mindful presence.

Led by Em Grotton-Juco and Sarah Banta, these sessions create an affirming space centered on LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities, while welcoming all who seek thoughtful movement, reflection, and connection. Inspired by Simulacra’s exploration of authenticity, identity, and belonging, the practice encourages participants to consider how we experience ourselves, each other, and the world around us.

Whether you are new to yoga or a longtime practitioner, come as you are and experience the gallery as a space for contemplation, healing, and collective care.

Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, as well as any blankets, pillows, or other props you might like to be comfortable.

This program is generously supported by Art Bridges Foundation.
