Each year the Old Settlers Day Association donates a large portion of our annual proceeds to local not for profit groups. We estimate that over the many decades we have reinvested well
over $1,000,000 back into the community. This year over a total of $10,000 was recently
donated to the following local organizations.

Pictured are Old Settlers Day Association officers and representatives from local not for profit grant recipients for 2026.

Front row-Jim Argerbright, 2026 OSD President, Cindy Baker, T.R.O.Y School, Samara Pfeiffer, Warriors, Inc., Vanessa Bills, Night to Shine and Kim Wheeler, OSD 2025 President.

Second row-Greg Hockemeyer, OSD 1st Vice President, Hank Workman, The Forklift of the
Warehouse Church, Lauren Shinneman, Whitley County Family YMCA, Christy Pfeiffer,
Warriors, Inc., Danielle Arnold, Warriors, Inc., Jenny Antanovich, Warriors,Inc., Payton Rhodes

Third row-Brian Bills, OSD 2nd Vice President, Jeff Wike, The Center for Whitley County Youth,
Aaron Mathieu, Whitley County Historical Museum, Brent Bockelman, 2027 OSD President and Dick Buchanan, OSD Treasurer.

We appreciate the hard work and dedication from each of these worthy organizations and the impact they have made in our community. Old Settlers Day will accept grant requests next year from June 1, 2027 to August 1, 2027.

Hi! I’m Bill Dittlinger. I’m a 3 year Chamber Board Member and recently joined the team to expand the way we Connect, Promote, Support, and Grow! With me in the picture is my mother n law who volunteers to label and stuff envelopes for our members! There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes at the chamber. I wanted to give Joyce a big shout out and say thanks for all your help with my chamber projects!

🇺🇸 COME MEET THE BUDDY SYSTEM! 🐾

Have you ever wondered how pairing a Veteran with a service animal can change two lives at once?

On Saturday, September 19 at 6:00 PM, we’re opening the doors and inviting our community to come Meet The Buddy System Inc.

This is your opportunity to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we work to build lasting Buddy Pairs between Veterans and service animals.

Whether you’re a Veteran, family member, local business owner, community leader, potential volunteer, supporter, or simply someone who wants to learn more about our mission.
We would love to have you join us.

📅 Saturday, September 19
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Mizpah Shrine Horse Patrol

Come meet the people behind the mission, learn how Buddy Pairs are created, hear where The Buddy System is headed, and discover how you can become part of the mission.

ALL ARE WELCOME - Local individuals, families, and businesses everyone is invited to attend.

Please RSVP if possible by September 12 so we can prepare for everyone attending.

When a special thank you is given, we like to include as many local businesses as possible.
Eagle Glen Golf Course went well beyond for all of us at the Chamber for the Annual Birdies, Beers, & BBQ.
With the help of Edward Jones Jennifer McCall Financial Advisor, we are able to give a hug with a mug.

Hey South Whitley! Your downtown has been getting fresher all the time! We see you!
