The Artifact MU Gallery and Museum Crawl is this Thursday, 22 September 2016! Come visit us and nine other venues on campus. And we are the only one with mealworm chocolate chip cookies!

Got an insect loan returned last week. The letter said "The National Museum of Natural History is returning to you recent insects loan #860826-1 as losted on the enclosed invoice. Only the Smithsonian would consider a loan from 1986 as recent. But it was from the Department of Paleobiology so I guess 1986 to them is like yesterday!

One of the reasons I love being an entomologist: I went to PetCo. today to buy 2500 mealworms so I can make "insect" cookies for the upcoming MU Museum Crawl (they add a nutty flavor to the cookies). The checkout lady asked what I feeding and I replied "humans." The look on her face was priceless!
