A little about myself, I'm a mom to three beautiful children (a singleton & TWINS!!), who always keep me on my toes! I've always had a creative side but never really gave it the attention or time to really see if I had any artistic potential. Fast forward to the here and now, I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar 2 Disorder. Before I was diagnosed in 2021, I was having one of those days where ever
ything was going wrong. I was over-stimulated, overwhelmed, and struggling with extreme mood swings that I didn't understand and just needed to get out of the house and scream as loud as I could. I didn't think my neighbors would appreciate that very much so instead I just stood in the garage staring aimlessly at nothing and took a moment to collect myself. I happened to notice a spray paint can sitting on the shelf and decided to pick it up and find something I could paint as a distraction. I started painting random designs on an old piece of scrap wood I found and to my surprise it helped me work through what I was feeling and brought me peace of mind. I thought nothing more of it after this, until my husband saw the random paint I had sprayed all over a piece of his scrap wood. He mentioned it was really cool and encouraged me to make it a hobby and explore it more because he believed I had potential to create amazing artwork if I practiced and kept with it. That's exactly what I did, whenever I could find time, I'd step out just to paint something. It was a hobby that I enjoyed doing and was a great outlet for all the craziness of life. I never shared my paintings with anyone because I didn't feel like they were anything special. After having multiple people who randomly saw my artwork ask me if I sold my paintings, had a shop or website they could browse, I started thinking maybe I should start sharing my paintings. I finally worked up the courage and decided to take the next steps and create a page and Etsy store and see what comes next in this adventure of mine. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to check out my paintings and for everyone who's been on this journey with me and has helped me explore my creative side and encouraged me to keep going.
