New acrylic paintings on paper in progress… not finished. Learning about leaving a mark and then painting over- and erasing it, but love the ghost marks that are still there..I’m completely working without a roadmap. I’m using long branches to paint and even draw with charcoal and pastel.. it’s a series I started in the summer at a painting workshop..trying to express a mixture of grief and fears while snorkeling in open waters.. my only plan is to paint everyday..

A good day in my studio. Acrylic painting and charcoal on rag paper..new technique for me but I’m loving the possibilities and I have no idea how they’ll turn out.. Interested in process -based works that are based on a single image and an emotion. Using branches as painting and drawing tools.. the full-body movement is freeing and the lines are much more expressive.. Listening to Rick Rubin’s,”The Creative Act” while working..
