Artist Statement: Boban Torma

Born in Germany in 1967 with Serbian roots, I, Boban Torma, have been intimately connected to the world of art from a young age. My self-driven passion was initially kindled by studying the works of renowned artists such as Modigliani and Salvador Dali. This early inspiration was the foundation upon which I built my expansive journey in the arts. My educational path

in Germany was deeply immersed in the study and mastery of Decorative Art, specializing in Decorative Faux Art and Decorative Plasters. This specialized skill set has allowed me to uniquely blend traditional techniques with modern expressions, establishing a distinctive style that straddles the realms of Impressionism and contemporary art. In my artistic practice, I employ a variety of mixed mediums, developing a personal technique that allows me to manifest my creative visions across diverse artistic directions. Each piece I create is a dialogue between my internal inspirations and the external influences of my surroundings, encapsulating a spectrum of emotions and narratives. As an artist, my mission is to continue exploring the depths of artistic expression, pushing the boundaries of traditional and contemporary art forms to create pieces that not only decorate spaces but also provoke thought and evoke profound feelings in the viewer. My work is a testament to my heritage, my experiences, and my unending quest for artistic perfection. Biographical Sketch: Gina Torma
American-Ecuadorian Artist

Born in 1970 in Ecuador, Gina Torma is a distinguished American artist whose passion for art blossomed early in her childhood. Deeply influenced by the renowned Ecuadorian artist Oswaldo Guayasamin, Gina has developed a unique artistic style that pays homage to the intense emotional expression and vivid forms found in Guayasamin's works. Artistic Style:

Gina’s artwork is a modern exploration of Cubism, through which she deconstructs and reassembles her subjects to capture their inner emotional and spiritual realities. She predominantly works with acrylics, appreciating their versatility and vibrant color palette which allows her to convey complex themes and narratives powerfully. Philosophy and Influences:

Inspired by themes of human rights and personal introspection, Gina's art often reflects a deep empathy for her subjects, reminiscent of the influence Guayasamin had on her perception of art as a tool for social change and personal reflection. Exhibitions and Collections:

Gina Torma's work has been exhibited in various galleries across the United States, and her pieces are held in numerous private collections worldwide. Each exhibit provides a glimpse into her evolving perspective and enduring commitment to using art as a voice for the voiceless. Conclusion:

As an artist, Gina continues to evolve, her roots deeply embedded in her Ecuadorian heritage, yet her branches stretching out to embrace and explore new artistic methodologies and themes. Her artwork not only serves as a reflection of her personal journey but also as an invitation to explore the complexities of human emotion and the pursuit of social justice.
