The art of broom making is still alive and well at the Farm 🧹

Made the old-fashioned way from real broom corn and crafted by hand, these authentic brooms are more than just beautiful, they’re a piece of living history.

One of the only places in Upstate New York where this tradition is still practiced, you can see history being made right before your eyes...and even take one home with you from our shop!

Fenimore Farm’s very first Scarecrow Village: Once Upon a Time is looking for creative minds to join the fun!

From fairy tales and folklore to fantasy worlds, nursery rhymes and literary classics, we’re inviting artists, schools, businesses, community groups and imaginative makers of all kinds to create a scarecrow display for this one-of-a-kind autumn experience.

Selected creations will become part of a self-guided Scarecrow Village experience for visitors to enjoy this season. Applications are now open.

The Templeton Players are excited to announce upcoming Auditions for our 2026 summer season at Fenimore Farm and Country Village! This year we’re featuring the hysterical farce “Box and Cox,” as well as performances of iconic texts from Patrick Henry (“Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!”) and Abigail Adams (“Remember the Ladies”) in recognition of the 250th anniversary of American independence. In-person/virtual auditions will be held at Fenimore Farm on May 30 from 3-5PM, and all roles are PAID $75 per performance day.

Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24 from 10 AM–4 PM. Shop more than 500 hardy, heritage plant varieties grown with organic soil and fertilizer, including:

🍅 Multiple varieties of tomatoes
🥒 Cucumbers & melons
🎃 Pumpkins & squash
🌸 Unique heirloom flowers & herbs

Many of these plants are propagated directly from our Botanical Specimen Garden, meaning you can bring a little piece of Fenimore Farm history home to your own garden.

Tripled the cuteness overnight 🐑🤍

Our Cheviot/Merino ewe and Dorper cross ram officially welcomed three little rams to the farm last week!

Equal parts fluffy, curious and already stealing hearts, these boys are settling into farm life one wobbly step at a time. Stop by and say hello to our newest additions!

Whether you’re a professional artist, community group, nonprofit or simply someone with a great idea, we want to see your vision come to life in our very first Scarecrow Village: Once Upon a Time.

We’re looking for imaginative scarecrow creations inspired by fairy tales, folklore, fantasy worlds, nursery rhymes, literary classics and legendary characters to bring the farm to life this fall.
