The Coos History Museum creates a better understanding of life in Coos County and Oregon’s South Coast, past and present, and our place in that life. We do this by collecting and preserving stories, artifacts, photographs, and documents, and by helping create opportunities for people to interpret them in meaningful, thought-provoking, and engaging ways. Adults - $7
AAA or AARP Adults- $6
Children/teens (5-17) - $3
Family Max Rate - $17
Group Rate - $4 per person

Museum members, children under 5 and active military personnel are free.

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we recognize that Native Americans have been here since time immemorial and are still here today.

Our exhibit, Reclaiming Our Words, explores local Tribal language revitalization and was written in partnership with our local Tribes. It highlights the work of keeping languages alive and strengthening connections across generations.

The museum is closed on Mondays, but we invite you to visit during our regular hours to explore the exhibit and learn more.

We had a full house for Captain Steven Woods! Thank you to Captain Woods and everyone who joined us for October's First Tuesday Talk.

The Sprague Gallery reached capacity, and we know some visitors were disappointed that we couldn’t accommodate them. With such strong interest, we’re planning to invite Captain Woods back in 2027, so there will be another opportunity to hear him speak.

Advance registration is available for all First Tuesday Talks. For future programs, we encourage you to register ahead to help secure your place, as seating is limited.

Oktoberfest is this Saturday, October 10! 🍻

Join us at the Coos History Museum from 2–6 pm for a German meal, live music from the Roseburg German Band, games, and a silent auction. Tickets start at $50 and include your meal and music. This event is for ages 21+.

We’ve been busy getting everything ready for Oktoberfest! 🍻

Join us at the Coos History Museum Oct. 10 for delicious food, drinks, live music, contests, and games. We will be giving out a prize for the best costume, so make sure to stop by our Museum Store if you need any last minute accessories!
