National Mounted Warfare Foundation The NMWF is a nonprofit organization that supports the National Mounted Warrior Museum at Fort Hood, Texas. The NMWF is a non-federal entity.

It is not part of the Department of Defense or any of its components and has no government status. The Mounted Warrior Museum will provide a unique educational experience, preserving and interpreting the story of Soldiers who have served at Fort Cavazos and in mounted units worldwide and the rich history, values, and heritage of Killeen/Central Texas.
