The Crisp Area Arts Alliance’s Gallery 41/Railroad Museum is featuring an exhibit of photography by Chris Lockwood, who is the Manager of SAM Shortline Excursion Train here in Cordele. Pam Bissett submitted the following background information about Chris and his love of trains and photography. We hope you will drop in and see the wonderful photos Chris has captured from all over the country. As always, Gallery 41 appreciates your support of our local artists.

Gallery 41 is located at 302 North 7th Street in downtown Cordele. Our Crisp Area Arts Alliance sponsors exhibits in the gallery, and we would love to have you visit them! Entry into the Rail Museum/Gallery 41 is accessed by checking in with Monica Rentfrow at the Cordele Main Street office in the building adjacent to the gallery. This month’s exhibit is photography by artist/former art teacher Jim Mitchell. Jim shared the following:

“This is a collection of fourteen 16” x 20” nonfigurative closeup photos of colors and textures in Savannah, GA. Most were photographed in alleyways, and each is titled to suggest to the viewer something familiar. This collection was first exhibited at Coastal Community College in Brunswick, GA.”

We appreciate Jim sharing his photography with us, and we hope you will stop by and view his work.
