The New York Hall of Science is a science museum located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the New York City borough of Queens, in the section of the park that is in Corona. It occupies one of the few remaining structures from the 1964 New York World's Fair and is New York City's only hands-on science and technology center.

In late September, we hosted the Queens Climate Expo with Borough President Donovan Richards Jr.! The Expo coincided with the United Nations General Assembly and Climate Week NYC. 🌱 🌍

Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about climate change, sustainability, home energy, and resiliency through hands-on activities, workshops, and community resources. Thank you to all of the organizations that helped make the event possible. 🌱 ♻️

We’re proud to bring together our Queens community to learn, share ideas, and explore ways we can build a more sustainable future. 🌿 🌍 💧

Celebrate Chemistry Week with us on Sunday, October 18th! ⚗️🧪🥼

This year’s theme, “Chemistry Under Construction,” explores the chemistry behind building, creating, and transforming the world around us. 🏗️ 🔬 🚧

We’re also celebrating two major milestones: the 150th anniversary of the American Chemical Society and the 135th anniversary of the New York Local Section of the American Chemical Society.

Celebrate with us through hands-on chemistry activities and demonstrations designed to make science fun, engaging, and accessible for all!

Looking to polish your resume or build one from scratch? Join us on Saturday, October 17th from 12:00-2:00pm for our Resume Creation Workshop. This interactive, hands-on session is designed to help you create a strong resume that highlights your skills, experience, and goals. 📝 💡 💻

Have you checked out the Sound Station in our Science Playground? 🛝 🎶

The Sound Station shows how size and materials can change the tone of a note. Using a mallet or the palm of their hands, visitors can strike nine different xylophones. Although all tuned to the same pentatonic scale, the different pipe widths and materials produce different tones. 🎵 🧪 🔬

We are open Wednesday through Sunday, from 10:00am–5:00pm each day. Visit to explore the Sound Station for yourself!

Explore each step of the wastewater treatment process through fun, hands-on activities. Screen out waste, watch particles sink and float, explore aeration tanks, and see how wastewater can be turned into a useful resource. 🚰 🫙
