Yesterday, July 15th, the museum presented a program to 60 children from Covert summer school about the Pottawatomie Native Americans, who were the first people to live in Covert Township. Cecil Wilson, Historic Research Specialist for the Pokagon Band, told the children some of the Potawatomi legends, and the children did crafts related to the stories he told. The children had a great time and learned more about their local history.
