Pike Street Art Wall

Pike Street Art Wall The Art Wall is a project to rebuild the urban fabric, create a more pedestrian-friendly city, and show some art off to the public. Follow progress here.

PIKE STREET ART WALL
The Pike Street Art Wall was designed and built by local artist Chris Meyer and funded by the Center for Great Neighborhoods through the Creative Community Grant, made possible by the Kresge Foundation. The Art Wall is three things:

1. A public art gallery that displays works from local artists.

2. An architectural façade compatible with the 19th century commercial storefron

ts located in the historic district

3. A new piece of urban fabric designed to knit the block back together. Covington has a rich tradition of high quality public spaces. The Pike Street Art Wall is a new construction to help restore the quality of public space to its former excellence.
