A native of Covington, Carol received her B.A. in Art from Queens College in N
orth Carolina. She continued her studies at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and at the University of Georgia Art School. She has participated in various workshops, including several with Joe Perrin, head of the Georgia State University art department, emeritus. Carol owned and operated The Upstairs Art Studio in Covington, where for thirteen years, she taught both children and adults. She works in a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, and found objects. Carol's works are widely collected by individuals and businesses. She has the distinction of having one of her paintings in the permanent collection of a Georgia museum. Carol has won many awards including the 1st place prize in multiple shows. She was also featured on WSB-TV with the Going Green Award. Carol lived on a Greek island for 15 years where her artwork was all graphic design. One of her signs is featured in a well-known international book. "It has been my dream since 1988 to have my own gallery and it finally happened!
