Ben Thurber Art 2026 calendars and artwork will be available at the New England Collective in the University Mall beginning November l and are currently on sale at the Jericho Mill and the Island Craft Shop in South Hero. This year's colored wall calendar contains some of Ben's mushroom art paintings.

Thank you for the many kind messages during this time of profound loss. Ben will live on in our hearts and in his art. Ben Thurber Art will continue with sketches found and favorites celebrated. Presently Ben's work can be found at the Old Mill Craft Shop in Jericho. I discovered a painting Ben had done for me 42 years ago that contained the cardinal, a symbol throughout our lives of hope and comfort ... an undying love.

Celebration of life and legacy will be held MAY 24. Heartfelt thanks to all who have called, sent messages and appreciated Ben’s love for others and his beautiful art. A special 2025 calendar will feature Ben’s favorite sketches and I will continue to sell and share his art. I am also writing a chronicle of the artist’s brave journey navigating vascular dementia using sketches and jottings right up to his passing January 21, 2025. I look forward to sharing this with others to increase understanding of the loved one’s battle and to help others caring for a loved one. I was able to care for Ben until his passing in our home with help the last few days from friends and VNA hospice.

Very grateful for the kindness of our craft family helping us display and stock our art during a challenging time for us. We especially thank Nicole Goulette from New England Collective for tweaking our displays and supporting us, Sue Richardson from Jericho Old Mill Craft Shop who receives and displays our mailed art stock and to Sue Alenick and Ann Baldau from Island Craft Shop who have offered support for decades. Lastly, heartfelt thanks to Francine Peet from Paw Prints who works so diligently on printing and formatting, Thank you also to our loyal customers who make it all worthwhile!
