WOW! it’s been 6 months since we’ve closed our doors. this is Nina Cunningham - a local artist who was with ATHENS for 14 years! it has been an adjustment to be an artist without a gallery representation in crawfordsville however change is always a constant and always an opportunity to grow!!!

did you know that the artists who showed at ATHENS are still around and some of them sell out of their home studios? some have an online presence and some do commissions? some are showing in solo shows nearby and a few at the local tri-county bank!

i think some would even like to sit with you over a cup of coffee. 🤎

art isn’t all about purchasing but it certainly helps an artist not only gather more art supplies but pay the rent perhaps! ha but art really is how an artist breathes. supporting an artist can simply be a personal connection - “tell me about this painting” - and finding out something that resonates with your heart.

don’t forget about your local artists as they navigate life without a gallery in c’ville!

and of course there are a few wonderful shops in town where a few local artists have shown up willing to share their wares and their hearts with you!!!

merry Christmas!

“Being a member of the Gallery has given me the privilege to hone my photography skills as I tried to capture the unposed reality of the Gallery. Most of the photographs in my final selection were drawn from the Gallery's first Gala which was my first Gallery photo experience. That composite of color, music, conversation and art was a joy to capture. Joy that never ceased to be part of my Gallery time.”
- John Zimmerman
