Join Duane Vandenbusche for the History of Skiing in the Gunnison Country Side Show at the Crested Butte Museum on Wednesday, April 1 at 7:00 P.M. The slide show covers early skiing in the 1880's to the present.

The slide show starts the Flauschink celebration and is followed by Pete Dunda and his polka band playing on Friday night at Kochevar's. This is followed by a Saturday parade down Elk Avenue in Crested Butte at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday.

Due to snow conditions, the Crested Butte Museum Yurt Dinner evening’s festivities will be relocated to the Crested Butte Museum at 331 Elk Avenue on Friday, March 27th.

Instead of a ski/snowshoe tour to the yurt, the night will feature a walking tour followed by dinner prepared by Chef Matt Santor, complete with wine pairings and non-alcoholic drinks, rounded out by stories from our guest speakers: Sherrie Vandervort and Denis Hall. This will still be a unique dinner experience as we very infrequently host dinners at the Museum.

The evenings schedule is as follows:

5:30pm walking tour (optional)

6:00 PM–6:20 PM: Mingle & appetizers

6:30 PM–8:30 PM: Sit-down dinner, presentation, Q&A

Yurt Dinner tickets are still available but limited! Dinner is catered by Crested Butte Catering Company. Worried about the snow and getting out to the yurt? If the Nordic Center closes the trails before March 27th due to early spring conditions, the evening’s festivities will be relocated to the Crested Butte Museum at 331 Elk Avenue.
