Following an unwavering tradition of honoring Memorial Day on its actual date of May 30th, the town of Cromwell will hold a patriotic ceremony next Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Memorial Green at the corner of Main and West Streets. (Routes 99 and 372) Join the members of the American Legion as they remember the soldiers from Cromwell who gave their lives in service to our country. The parade will follow the ceremony - up Main Street to New Lane to West Street and back to the Memorial Green.

May Day Tea next Sunday, May 3rd from 2 to 5:

For the 21st year, the Cromwell Historical Society will celebrate the arrival of gentler weather with its annual May Day Tea on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Hosted by Juleps &Viragoes, the living history department of the Historical Society, in mid-nineteenth-century attire, the event begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Enjoy tea and a light repast, a delightful may-pole dance and a myriad of leisurely diversions and children’s games throughout the house and grounds. The barn will be open with the society’s gift shop along with crafters offering locally made candles, soap, maple syrup, jewelry, and works of art. While admission is free, donations to support the operational budget of the Cromwell Historical Society will be most appreciated. Parking will be along New Lane and at the First Congregational Church lot, 1/4 mile south on Main Street.
