The Croft Mine, during its hay days, produced a whopping 1,770,669 tons of ore between 1914-1933?

The underground shaft still sits at the Croft Mine Historical Park offering an invaluable look back into the powerful and personal story of Crosby’s beginnings.

Check out this recent article from the Brainerd Dispatch. We met to determine possible next steps for the Croft Mine! We love our history and hope to see it revived through the restoration of the Croft Historical Park.

The Croft Mine Community Committee, elected officials, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources representatives and others met Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at the Croft Mine Historical Park to discuss possibly restoring and reopening the Crosby landmark as a tourist attraction.

Did you know?

The white building to the left, is called the Dry House. The Dry House was a locker room for all of the miners. It was built in 1914 and is the original building.

*When the Croft Mine became a Historical Park, the Dry House became the museum and housed artifacts from the Croft Mine and surrounding mines.
