Kathy Kenny knows a thing or two about quilts. Join us on Saturday, January 17 at 1 p.m. at PML for a vintage quilt show-and-tell, then stick around to hear Kathy tell us about the Hidden History of Quilts, beginning at 2 p.m. The presentation will fascinate just about anyone, especially history, quilt, and fiber arts nerds. The event is free.

If you have a vintage quilt (made before 1950) that you'd like to bring for the Show-and-Tell, we'd love to have you. Registration helps us know how many vintage quilts to expect. Otherwise, registration is not required. It's a casual thing.

North Yarmouth Historical Society and Cumberland Historical Society, Maine will each present a little bit about their community quilts. We hope you'll join us.

Join us next Wednesday night, July 23rd at 6:30pm at the town hall council chambers for The History of Copp & Son's Building Movers. They are one of the largest and most well - known moving companies in New England and has operated since 1956. Originally owned by Clayton and Virginia Copp. Clayton Sr designed and built all the hydraulic moving trucks himself in the fifties, and he and Virginia worked hard for the rest of their lives to build the business into what it is today. Join Clayton Copp 3rd ( Clay ) and his daughter as they tell us about moving houses, barns and big structures. Refreshments will be served, donations are appreciated.
