Ladies and Gentlemen, get out your Patriotic finery and come to a splendid affair! Enjoy a delicious 3-Tier Afternoon Tea loaded with tea sandwiches, and patriotic themed petit desserts while our DAR speaker (in full Patriotic attire) reminds us of the wonderful history behind this special occasion. Our move in day was a big success. Over 35 people stopped by to visit and wish us well. We were so grateful to the city of Dade City for the temporary location while road construction had us shut down, but are so happy to be back at the DEPOT.

Moving back to our 1912 historic train depot. There are displays left to unpack and artifacts to organize, but we will be looking forward to opening our doors on Saturday May 2, 2026 10 am -2pm
Join us, take a tour, enjoy light refreshments,meet our volunteers, hear the Dade City Stories. Donations will be appreciated.

Moving day is fast approaching. Cleaning the depot is the grueling part of the move. My board of directors are priceless,and hard working. Thank you,it's an honor to work with you all.

Museum Reopening Saturday May 2nd 2026 10:00am-2:00pm

The Dade City Heritage Museum is reopening and inviting the community to rediscover the stories, artifacts, and railroad heritage that make Dade City so special.

Located in the town’s historic 1912 train depot, the museum offers a meaningful look at local history from Dade City’s founding in 1884 through the mid-1900s. Guests can enjoy historic photographs, World War II artifacts, travelers’ suitcases and their stories, hobo language displays, and a popular model train room for all ages.

We’re also excited to kick off our event season on Saturday, June 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Rail Fan Fest. This special evening will feature model trains, views of the active CSX trains and track, guest speakers, tours, food, and a welcoming atmosphere for families, history lovers, and train enthusiasts alike.

Regular museum hours beginning May 2nd are Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We hope you’ll come visit, support the museum, and help us preserve Dade City’s legacy for future generations.

We are getting excited about our re-opening of the heritage museum in the depot. The work these volunteers put into moving heavy objects into place is priceless. I can't say thank you enough. Dedicated and hard workers.
