Art Studio Shenanigans to Solo Gallery Art Show….. Hello Everyone!!!! I know I have been quite silent in my posts for a minute. For the past two months I have been PAINTING day and night in preparation for my very first solo gallery show at ! I know for some of you this comes as a surprise. I have been in the game for quite a while… nearly 30 years participating in numerous group shows here in the metroplex and around the country in galleries, art centers and museums but never my very own solo gallery show with solely my art without competing art nearby. Let me tell you, THIS entire experience has been very surreal, humbling and extremely emotional. When I saw my name go up in vinyl on installation day, the tears started to stream and have not stopped. This was the first time that I have ever had just my name and the title of my show, featuring JUST my art EVER that I did not have to produce myself!!!!! I have done so much in the past several years to be inclusive, lift up and help other artists shine and I will continue to do so, but it hits different when the focus is completely on YOU!!!!! Attached is a photo of my self portrait in my studio and photos from installation day. I also included a photo of the sneakers that I wore on installation day. Unfortunately, I did not document the very cute outfits that were worn the past several days and believe me they were CUTE!!!!! There are; however, many photos of me in my many cute outfits floating around on social media. If you happened to have snapped any of those photos, please tag me!!!! With all of this being said, I’ve had to take time to process all of this WONDERFULNESS and recharge because I put my ALL into the body of work that is in the show and I am EXHAUSTED!!! I am extremely grateful to for the opportunity!!!! I am thankful for everyone who came out and showed out!!!! I am also thankful for all of the messages of congratulations from those of you who were with me in spirit. There are several things on the horizon for me so…...get ready to hear and see my name and me ALOT!!!! More news to come when I am ready to share.❤️

This is so absolutely on point! I think that it is funny that some non creative people simply don't get and constantly try to pull us creative types off task since we are supposedly not doing anything of substance and that we can just create anytime. They don't understand that it simply does not work that way. Creating is mentally exhausting! A lot of times, I go to bed with my mind racing and awake with my mind racing. My racing mind sometimes wakes me up out of my sleep! Not racing from despair, but creative energy or lack of. Creating at times is like reinventing the wheel! I know for myself, I try to come up with something new and fresh that has not been seen before. I am constantly challenging myself in that aspect in order to continue to grow as an artist. Artist need to continue to grow and evolve. I would love to hear your thoughts.
