Visual Arts Guild of Frisco is excited to announce the En Plein Air Frisco 2023 "Art That Speaks to Me" Juror: Frisco Police Chief David Shilson! Named Chief of Police for Frisco Police Department in November 2019 after serving in vaious roles since 2002, Shilson was a police officer for the College Station, Texas Police Department. Shilson holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M. Shilson is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, the Senior Management Institute for Police, and the ILEA 83rd School of Police Supervision. Chief Shilson is also a member of various police and community organizations and associations. Chief Shilson is married to his wife Jana of 23 years, and he has a son Jacob 17, and daughter Hadley who is 11.

'Unique by Nature' Juried Art Competition & Exhibition is hosted by McKinney Performing Arts Center (City of McKinney) with help from Arts and Music Guild volunteers. ONE large scale work will be awarded a $6,000 Purchase Prize and will become part of MPAC's permanent and public art collection.....
