Teens, your city needs you!
🦋This summer, join Discovery Crew: Teen Leadership Summer Program at Texas Discovery Gardens for a week of teamwork, strategy, science, and real-world problem-solving.
🦋From June 1–5, 2026, teens will step into the role of leaders representing a fictional city. Each day brings new challenges inspired by environmental stewardship, community planning, and conservation.
🦋Campers will work together to make decisions, solve problems, and watch their choices shape a shared city map throughout the week. This immersive, choose-your-own-adventure style camp includes hands-on STEM activities, mapping and navigation challenges, leadership discussions, and visits to places like Texas Discovery Gardens, Big Tex Urban Farms, Leonhardt Lagoon, and the Children’s Aquarium.
🦋Morning Leadership Camp June 1–5, 2026 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Teens can also choose to stay for an optional afternoon volunteer session from 1:00–3:00 p.m. to earn documented service hours. Volunteers may help prepare for upcoming camps, assist with butterfly house tasks, and support Homeschool Day on June 4.
🦋Discovery Crew teens may also have opportunities to earn additional volunteer hours by assisting with future youth camps. Perfect for teens interested in science, nature, leadership, volunteering, community service, or creative problem-solving.
