Frida Art Gallery is proud to represent Harrison Beckenstein in this upcoming exhibition entitled Where I Stand. Harrison is currently a junior at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, and a resident of Ridgefield, Connecticut. His work primarily focuses on human interaction and the creative exploration between shape, anatomical figure, and abstraction. Much of his work is done within the medium of painting or drawing.
Harrison says much of his inspiration comes from observing current and past trends within architecture, fashion design, and the arts. Harrison has been recognized locally and statewide for his accomplishments, receiving the Michael Meltzer Memorial Music and Art Scholarship (2022), the Junior Book Award from Norwalk Community College (2022), and the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) Outstanding Arts Award (2023). Harrison plans to continue his studies and practice in the arts beyond college and aspires to collaborate with artistic directors and institutions.

Frida Art Gallery is excited to announce the upcoming exhibition featuring incredible works by Harrison Beckenstein

Exhibition Title: Where I Stand
August 22- September 30
A Solo Exhibition by Harrison Beckenstein

“Can physical space hold memories? Do we influence the environment, or rather, does it affect us?”
This new body of work explores how we coexist with the spaces we inhabit—and how those spaces quietly shape our stories. Through layers of paint, objects, and texture, everyday moments become reflections of memory, movement, and identity.
We welcome you to experience and reflect on your own. As you explore each piece, you may uncover parallels to your own story—the environments that shaped you and the subtle ways place intertwines with identity.

Please join us for the opening reception which will be held at the "The Meeting House"
602 old Ridgebury Rd, Ridgefield, CT, 06877 on August 22, 5-7 pm

The Exhibition continues at: Frida Art Gallery until September 30.
For visits after August 22, please make appointments by contacting us at [email protected]
