The Danville Science Center delights all ages with its hands-on exhibits, digital dome shows and special programs that make science fun for everyone. During butterfly season (April-October), don't miss the beauty of the Butterfly Station and Garden - one of only a few butterfly greenhouses in Virginia. We share Science Center information, science news and other content we think will educate, inspi

re and entertain our followers. We’ll do our best to respond to follower posts and messages, but you may also contact the Museum at [email protected] or (434) 791-5160. We encourage you to submit questions and comments. The Science Center reserves the right to delete submissions that contain vulgar language, personal attacks and offensive comments. We will also delete posts that:

Celebrate the beginning of summer with the Danville Science Center. We'll be open our regular hours Friday-Sunday for Memorial Day Weekend with our engaging exhibit experiences, immersive Digital Dome Theater, and beautiful Butterfly Station to enjoy. And after the weekend the Science Center will be open Tuesdays in the summer for more days of science fun!
