Experience the Revolution tomorrow, Saturday, May 2 with us! Visit the Museum of Darien from 10am-1pm for colonial reenactments, a fabulous new exhibit, George Washington on horseback and so much more! Head over to the Mather Homestead from 2-4pm for a skirmish reenactment, storytelling, tours and more, including another visit from George! Walk through history at Highland Farm with 250 markers along the walkway and be there at 1pm for the Town Proclamation read by our own First Selectman, Jon Zagrodzky! See you there!

From Famine to Fairfield County: The Irish Experience in 19th century Darien
We are pleased to welcome Jane Halloran Ryan, M.A., Ph.D., who will explore the journey and settlement of Irish immigrants in post-Famine Darien in partnership with the Darien Library. Through their hard work and fortitude, these early settlers helped shape the community we know today.

Join us on Saturday, February 7, from 7-9pm for this intimate cabaret experience with Christi Bye, that blends jazz, storytelling, and patriotic reflection - enriched by a display of historic flags
from the museum’s collection. Enjoy light bites, drinks and desserts by Carolyn’s Absolutely Fabulous Events!

Christi hails from Kansas City where she grew up performing in musical theater, concert venues and church. She earned her bachelor's degree from Belmont University in Nashville, including a one-year vocal study at Gnesins Academy of Music in Moscow, Russia. She has pursued singing, choral conducting and directing roles in jazz, classical and musical theater settings for 30+ years.
