Beaver County Industrial Museum

We are a museum dedicated to the education and preservation of Beaver County's industrial heritage.

A 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit, the Beaver County Industrial Museum is home to thousands of photographs, slides, and artifacts from the many companies and industries that have shaped Beaver County and its people.

While the museum most prominently features the local glass and steel industries, you would be challenged to name a Beaver County industry that cannot be found within our massive colle

ctions. Our season begins the first weekend in May (Beaver County History Weekend). The museum is open each Sunday May through August, as well as by appointment throughout the year.

SPECIAL HOURS for DARLINGTON DAYS

Darlington is holding its annual "Darlington Days" event this weekend, and the Beaver County Industrial Museum will be open additional hours!

Stop in the "little gray house" on Plumb Street and learn about Beaver County's industrial history.

Our friends and neighbors at the different Little Beaver Historical Society museums will be open as well. Check them out!

The Beaver County Chamber of Commerce put on an excellent presentation last month for their speaker series!

First, Brenda Applegate of the Beaver County Historical Research and Landmarks Foundation (pictured with Jim Clark and Patty Davidson of Beaver County Industrial Museum's board) presented on Beaver County's historical markers.

Then, Mark Miner of the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation - Museum - Beaver Station spoke on the significance of Fort McIntosh to our nation's history, as well as the BAHF's future plans.

And to conclude the event, Andy Masich of the Heinz History Center regaled the audience with tales that took us from western Pennsylvania's earliest days to the present.

We had such a great time at last week's Senior Day at the Mall!

Thanks to the Beaver County Office on Aging and the Center at the Mall for having us, and thanks to everyone who stopped by and shared stories of their time (or a family member's time) working in a local glass plant or steel mill!

The Beaver County Industrial Museum is built on those stories!!
