The Palmer Family Residence Tours are available Fridays at 11:10am(when school is in session)or by appointment. Call 563-884-5714 We are here Monday through Friday from 9am until 5pm.

We have one weekly scheduled tour Fridays at 11:10am when school is in session. All other tours are by appointment. Call 563-884-5714 to schedule a tour. We request at least 24 hours notice for all tours.

On this day in 1904, B.J. and Mabel Palmer were married in Davenport at Mabel’s parents’ house in a small private wedding. Throughout their nearly 45 years of marriage, the “hurry lady” and the “little builder” led a life full of adventure, challenges, and remarkable achievements. Their partnership left a legacy that continues on at Palmer College of Chiropractic.

We’re stepping back into time with this vintage elementary watercolor set from Rowney in London. There are fifteen tubes of paint in this tin along with five brushes of various sizes. Although we are unsure which Palmer family member used these paints, the set appears to be well loved!

Spring recess is upon us! The Palmer Campus will be closed Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6 which means there will be no tours on those dates as well. Our courtyard has been showing signs of spring for a while, even through the snow we had a few weeks ago! We can’t wait to see it in full bloom.

Happy Graduation week! There will be no Friday 11:10am tour on Friday February 27 due to graduation. To help celebrate our soon-to-be Doctors of Chiropractic, we will be holding special graduation tours from 2-4pm on Thursday February 26 and Friday, February 27. The tours will start every fifteen minutes and are approximately an hour in length. There will be no charge for these special tours. We hope to see you soon! 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

On this day in 1906, Dr. A.B. Hender, the Dean of the P.S.C., delivered B.J. and Mabel's only child during a raging blizzard. Dr. Dave worked in various roles around the college until his Presidency from 1961 until 1978. While President, he worked towards achieving accreditation for Palmer College of Chiropractic, establishing the school as a non-profit and founded the Palmer Junior College, among many other accomplishments. He was influential in organizing the first Palmer rugby team and starting the Davenport Junior Chamber of Commerce. Happy birthday, Dr. Dave!

Happy Thanksgiving this week!! The Palmer Family Residence and The Palmer Family and Chiropractic History Museum will be closed for the remainder of the year starting on Wednesday, Nov 26. We close yearly for the month of December to accomplish our annual maintenance, specifically any repairs needed on the tour route. We are very thankful for all of you and your support.
