This is the big summer event.

Artist if you do wheatpaste:

Or did them when you were younger you can send in a wheatpaste print, drawing and the team here will paste it up for you on the building in the poster below. The Orphanage Gallery is helping find some art for this massive event. You can also participate in person if you want. For some of my hooligan friend who live far away and are busy like me the mail option is the way to go.

As we're making a vat of wheatpaste for this event. I know some of you who now work in fine art did this very thing when you were younger so relive your youth and message me I send you the address and other details. The works must be all audiences friendly as our area is open to the public.

With mutli panel pieces please include a diagram for easy of installation.

Now accepting wheatpastes for this event hosted by Brick City Artworks that will be here soon

Based on calculations the Green Chain has broken 50 feet. It has 154 links of 70 caps each and used 10780 Heineken beer caps were used in its construction.

This is one of only two or three bottle cap chains of this length made in the last hundred years. The other known example that was shown in the 1990s at the Blockbuster show was thought to be 50 feet. That vintage was big but the length is not confirmed. Either way it worth counting as it's one of only two very large known examples.

This one is made from caps from the same beer company which is unique.

The Green Chain is massive and museum scale. The reason I mention this is that I have searched many museum archives and collections and have not found another bottle cap chain in any of the collection archives. Which is very interesting as some of these museums have examples of bottle cap work in there collections but no chains and none in the 50 foot range.

If you attempt making one this big please note progress is slow and it is pure madness. Is is also heavier than one would think.

If this chain was laid out like a snake in a single row of caps it would measure 179.6 feet. As a chain this one is a bit over 50 feet.
