As we honor Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we reflect on the powerful stories and creative voices that shape our shared history. In 2021, The Contemporary Dayton was privileged to present Tuan Andrew Nguyen’s exhibition, "THE BOAT PEOPLE."

This evocative short film imagines a future on the brink, following a resilient group of children as they journey across the seas, gathering remnants and stories from a world long past. We are grateful to have shared this moving exploration of memory, survival, and hope with the Dayton community.
