Lilian Place Heritage Center The mission of the Heritage Preservation Trust is to work for preservation and restoration of historical artifacts, buildings, lands, and sites in Volusia.

Victorian Afternoon Tea and Tour
3rd Tuesday of the Month 2-4 PM
$20 per guest
Our afternoon tea includes a brewed flavored tea, a regular tea, scones with jam, savory finger sandwiches, bread pudding and pastries. After the tea, costumed re-enactors portraying some of the early pioneers of Daytona Beach, give a guided tour of Lilian Place Museum. These teas are public but require a reservation.

*Private teas can also be scheduled upon request with a minimum of 15 guests.*

Food allergies or restrictions can be accommodated with advanced notice with the reservation.

Tours are $5 for non-members & free for current members of the Heritage Preservation Trust. Kids, students, and Veterans are free. The last tour starts at 4pm.

Enjoy your meeting, party, or even wedding on the beautiful grounds of Lilian Place and Hotchkiss House! Overlooking the Halifax River and shaded by aged trees, it's the perfect place for a cool, comfortable summer event!

127-year old Lilian Place is the oldest home on Daytona's beachside. It is an excellent example of Italianate High Victorian architecture. Lilian Place
Lilian Place is the oldest house on Daytona's beachside. This Italianate Victorian house was built in 1884 by one of the city's first settlers Laurence Thompson. Lilian Place sat abandoned and neglected until December of 2009, when the Trust was awarded a Volusia County ECHO Grant to acquire this significant site. After two years of community support, Lilian Place is now open to the public as a fully furnished historic property, but there is still restoration work to be done! Hotchkiss House
The Hotchkiss House is located next door to Lilian Place. In 1905 Eliphalet Hubbell Hotchkiss had this grand Victorian turreted winter home built overlooking the Halifax River. This property had been sadly neglected, the house and grounds needed an immense amount of repairs. These were achieved through the donation of funds and manpower. It is now the location of our beautiful afternoon teas! Hotchkiss House still requires work and all help is much appreciated!
