Congratulations to our 2026 Global Scholars Award recipient, Jason Song! 🏁
Last night at Car Design Dialogues Detroit, we celebrated Jason as one of the emerging talents to watch in automotive and mobility.
From his work at the College for Creative Studies to gaining hands-on experience at Zoox, Jason has already shown the creativity, commitment and talent behind this recognition.
We’re especially grateful to the Ralph L. and Winifred E. Polk Foundation, Presenting Partner of the Global Scholars Award, for its commitment to investing in the next generation of automotive talent, and to GM Design, our Supporting Partner, for helping us recognize and encourage future designers and industry leaders.

Introducing our 2026 Global Scholars Award recipient, Jason Song! 🎉

A Transportation Design student at College for Creative Studies (CCS), he has earned top marks in GM and Toyota CALTY-sponsored projects and is currently interning at Zoox in creative robot design for mobility.

The Global Scholars Award recognizes emerging talent for their creativity, commitment to their craft and potential to help shape the future of automotive and mobility.
The presenting partner for this award is the Ralph L. and Winfred E. Polk Foundation, with support from GM Design.

A familiar sight for millions of drivers. 🌎

On display at the 2026 Induction Ceremony was the first TomTom GO, the company’s original all in one personal navigator that brought turn-by-turn directions out of the map book and onto the dashboard.

The GO marked the beginning of something much bigger for the four founders who helped redefine the way we navigate. A fitting journey that ultimately led to their place in the Automotive Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Two cars. Two very different sides of Dallara.

The Dallara EXP and IR8 were selected as Giampaolo Dallara’s tribute cars for his Induction.

In 1998, Eddie Cheever drove the IR8 to victory at the Indianapolis 500, leading 76 of 200 laps and delivering Dallara its first win at the race.

More than 20 years later came the EXP. Introduced in 2021 and built exclusively for the track, it puts Dallara’s focus on lightweight construction and aerodynamics on full display.

Together, they gave us two incredible examples of the work that earned Giampaolo Dallara his place in the Automotive Hall of Fame.
