Hello Friends of Dutot!
We're kicking off our new season in a big way this month with two art openings, a presentation on the history of trains in DWG, a radio interview with Gary C on POCO103, and more! Check out below for all the details.
We have exciting weeks ahead as we start off our 2026 season with a number of great events! Some of you may have heard Will Rothfuss, Lois Zini, and I discussing Dutot's exciting season yesterday morning (May 13) during our interview with Gary C on POCO103. Big thanks to Gary for a wonderful interview! For those who missed it, you can hear it by going to www.poco103.com and scrolling down the page to the POCO Playback section.
This Friday, May 15, Dutot is proud to present its first Members Art Show, featuring works by dozens of Dutot members--paintings, sculpture, photography, fiber arts, and more! The show opening is Friday from 7 to 9 PM. Free admission (donations gratefully accepted) and light refreshments will be served. The show continues this Saturday and Sunday only, May 16 and 17 from 1 to 5 PM. There's a great range of works that you won't want to miss!
The art excitement continues next Friday, May 22, with the first of our regular season art openings featuring the abstract works of Andrea Levergood-Flaherty. Friday's opening is from 7 to 9 PM, with her show continuing weekends from 1-5 PM through June 7.
On Wednesday, May 27, the Dutot Museum is pleased to present an exciting presentation, "Archives of Steamtown N.H.S. --Delaware Water Gap, PA". The slide-supported talk is presented by Steamtown historian and archivist Pat McKnight, who explores the rich history and great impact of railroads on the growth of the borough of Delaware Water Gap as one of the great US resort destinations from the 1880s to the 1920s. The one-hour presentation is in the Dutot Gallery starting at 6 PM.
We are moving our monthly members meeting to Tuesday, May 26, at 7 PM. If you love art, history, or DWG (or all three!), we'd love to see you there!
