It'll be the last total solar eclipse to cross North America until 2045. The weather prospects aren't great along the eclipse path, especially in the southern U.S., where many would-be eclipse watchers have gathered. Emails, texts and social media are buzzing today with astronomers asking each other about the best possible places along the path. But some of us are planning to stay put and hope for the best! By the way, maybe you heard that - if you're on the edge of the eclipse path - you'll want the absolute latest map. ☀️🌤️⛅️🌑

A thought for those who want to take pictures of the Total Solar Eclipse. It's tough to take pictures even with good cameras. To prevent frying your camera/phone you'll need filters and maybe a tripod to keep it steady. Instead, take pictures of the reactions of those around you. There will be lots of professional pictures of the Eclipse but only you can take pictures of the reactions of people with you.
If you do take some pictures or even videos of Eclipse reactions please share them with us. We'd love to see them! 😎

A super day at the Museum today. We had somewhere in the neighborhood of 75-80 visitors in the six hours we were open. We checked the guest book and saw visitors from New Jersey, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan, California, Florida, Georgia, etc...
We sold 30 t-shirts and numerous other Eclipse souvenirs. We have maybe a dozen Eclipse t-shirts left and I think they're all XL. We still have buttons, clings, magnets and coasters along with three framed Delphos Eclipse posters. We also have some Eclipse glasses to give away.

The Canal Museum is open Monday 9:00am-Noon and again from 4:30-6:00pm.

Today's 2024 Total Solar Eclipse Events

Noon-6:00pm
Delphos Canal Museum is open!!! We have Eclipse shirts and souvenirs available for purchase. We also have free Eclipse glasses. 😎

2:00pm Delphos Running Club's No Sun Run 5k
Registration beginning at 1pm at Jefferson High School

3:00pm Rotary Club's Concert at the Lot
Nashville Crush will be playing at The Lot downtown, corner of 4th and Main Streets. There will be 50 tables with 400 chairs set up but feel free to bring your own lawn chairs. Concessions available.

Knights of Columbus Hall open from 7am-11pm. Full kitchen and bar available. Live music from 8-11pm.
