Artists Kealy and Alexa represented L.A. Nelson at the Denton ISD district art show. Their works are excellent examples of focus and dedication. Both artists worked multiple class times on their pieces and visited several of the available studios combining printing, painting, and fiber work! Help me in congratulating them on their hard work and creativity.

We are busy in the art room preparing for Fine Arts Night!

Families will get to experience the joy of creating with projects in the drawing, fibers, and painting studios.

Artwork by every child will be in display in their grade level hallway.

The main halls will have tables with 3 dimensional artwork.

I am asking for donations of yarn, big plastic pony beads, and burlap to help teach 2-5 graders to sew. Please consider donating them to the art room if you have any of these items around the house and your family no longer uses them.😊

First grade texture owls are complete and on the way home! Students received a slab of clay and time to experiment with a variety of texture making tools. After the owls were dried and fired, students used tempera paints in neutral or rainbow colors to complete their art work.

4 th and 5 th graders are really enjoyed the privilege of using hot glue. So much so that we are running out of glue sticks! If you have some spare low melt mini hot glue sticks laying around the house please consider donating them to the art room!
