Five days before the Titanic sank, American writer Archibald Gracie penned an unknowingly foreboding letter aboard the colossal ocean liner. Zoom in: "It is a fine ship this, but I shall await my journey's end before I pass judgment on her," he wrote in a letter dated April 10, 1912, sending the let...

The Molly Brown House went to Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum! Our Visitor Experience Manager and Associate were given a private tour with Gary, an amazing volunteer with Wings Over the Rockies. The staff learned so much about airplane history here in Colorado and how important it is to preserve such stories and knowledge.

Margaret Brown once said, "I am a daughter of adventure… I never know when I may go up in an airplane and come down with a crash… That’s my arc, as the astrologers would say. It’s a good one, too, for a person who had rather make a snap-out than a fade-out of life."

So be a child of adventure and visit your local historical institutions! Thank you again, Wings Over the Rockies, for such a wonderful experience. 😊✈️🚀

We had a rare treat this week! Phil and Jane Watkins, of Watkins Stained Glass Studio, were in the museum to share stories behind the house's stunning and unique stained glass. Their restoration, done lovingly with high craftsmanship, ensures the glass will last another century. Thank you Phil and Jane! Stay tuned for their story on Fox 31!

What is it Wednesday?

In 1976, this Colorado state flag was made for Colorado’s centennial and America’s bicentennial anniversaries. Fifty years later, we celebrate the 150th and 250th anniversaries, and the people like Margaret and J.J. Brown who played important roles in our statehood and democracy.

It's Titanic Tuesday!

This binnacle was onboard the RMS Olympic, Titanic's sister ship! It is similar to the one that was on the RMS Titanic before its sinking in 1912. Today, ships still use binnacles for navigation.
