November and December Classes

Clay Trees: $60

Class includes making a clay tree. Learning how to make a cone out of clay and then creating it to be a tree. After they are made, they will need to dry for 2 weeks before they, can be glazed and fired. Glazing will be your responsibility to come back during business hours to complete it.

This class takes a lot of prep work. Please do not sign up if you are not planning on keeping your commitment. Clay classes are very limited in size.

Christmas Gnome Class: $30 small $50 large

November 15th, 6pm-9pm
November 23rd, 2pm-5pm
December 2nd, 1pm-4pm

This class is done in acrylics. You will learn how to paint with glitter. The glitter once dry does not come off at all, that way, you can enjoy the look of glitter without the mess.

Clay Snowman: $50

This Snowman is created in the same technique we used to make the pumpkins. Also learn how to create a hat and scarf (not shown). Price will include the making of the piece out of clay and glaze and the 2 firings. Glazing will be on your time.

December 31st, 9am-Noon

Tree Plate: $40

8"×8" plate. This is a glaze class. You will learn to trace a design. Create a watercolor background. Stroke and Coat to create the design and the use of designer liners to detail.

December 12th, 6pm-9pm

Candy Cane Plate: $50

This is a glaze class on an 11" Plate. You will learn to trace the design. Learn some shading techniques and a small amount of handpainting.

November 27th, 1pm-4pm
December 5th, 6pm-9pm

If you would like to take an of these classes and dates and times don't work, please gather a couple of friends and a date and time. Call and ask if it would work in my schedule. I will try to accommodate as many requests as possible.

I know this is late but he is so adorable. Since I was on vacation and won't get to post a finished one till I get back, a clay picture will have to do.

Halloween Gnome Class

This is a glaze class. You will learn to shade pieces using what I like to call the wipe back method. You will also learn blending.

Dates: October 3rd 6pm-8pm
October 5th 1pm-3pm
October 11th 6pm-8pm

Cost: $35 Small Gnome
$55 LG. Gnome
You can register by messaging me or emailing me [email protected]. I will be on vacation Sept 18th -25th so if I don't respond right away don't worry, I will sign you up and confirm that I did so.

I ask that if you register for a class that you make an effort to attend. I understand that things happen, and that is why I don't require a deposit. Please be respectful and understand that a lot of prep goes into the class.

I have had requests for daytime classes.

Pumpkin clay class:
You will form 2 pumpkins from clay at the class. After the pumpkins are fired into bisque it is your responsibility to come back and glaze them. The cost of the class includes everything. Clay, instruction, glaze and 2 firings.

Autumn Gnome Class

This class is a translucent class. Translucents is an oil based product that is water soluble. Color choices are yours. It does not have to be done like the sample.

August 27th 6pm-9pm
August 31st 9am- Noon
September 5 6pm-9pm

Cost: $30 for small gnome 5" tall
$50 for large gnome 10" tall
Please let me know when you sign up for class which size gnome you would like, and if it should be cut out and/or have a hook in the hat.

This class you will create 2 clay pumpkins. We will use stoneware clay for this class. The glazing of these pumpkins will be done on your time after they are fired the first time. The price will include class, 2 firings, and glazing.

Price $50

Class size is very limited. Please be committed to attending. A lot of prep work goes into classes. Please be respectful of that.

Pictures of clay pumpkins from last night's handbuilding class. Thank you, Amy, for teaching the class last night. Can't wait to see everyone's pumpkins when they are finished. Most of the class had never worked with clay before. They all did a fabulous job! I love my students!!
There will be more pumpkin clay classes coming in the near future. I will post soon.

The finished pumpkins are the ones I did a few weeks ago.

This is a stoneware technique on a stoneware 9 inch bowl. A variety of combos will be offered.
This is technique everyone can do. Stoneware is a clay that is fired hotter and more durable. Your bowl, when finished will dishwasher and oven safe.
