So excited that my piece “Threaded Through Time” was accepted to the Mainframe Nostalgia show. It will be on display beginning June 5th. It was made using lace from my wedding dress that both my aunt and my mother wore. This one has a lot of love and emotion behind it.

A close friend of mine sends me pictures whenever she uses a coffee cup I made, saying “Having coffee with Jen this morning” — and I absolutely love that idea! 💛
So when I was at NCECA, I met the incredibly talented and purchased one of her beautiful mugs. This morning, I’m having coffee with her! 🥰
This gorgeous mug is truly brightening my morning! Happy Monday, everyone! 🌟

There’s something about gathering with thousands of clay people that feels a little like stepping into a living, breathing kiln…warm, energizing, and full of transformation.

and I met up with in Detroit for NCECA, and my heart is still full from the time we spent together. So many hugs, conversations, and moments that reminded me just how special this community is.

Over 7,000 potters in one place…let that sink in. The talent was everywhere. Stunning exhibitions, thoughtful lectures, mesmerizing demos, and vendors that made it very hard to show restraint. Inspiration was around every corner.

But my favorite part? The people. Catching up with familiar faces, like .hb.art . Finally meeting others in person, and being surrounded by such generosity. Everyone so willing to share their time, their knowledge, their stories.

I left feeling recharged, inspired, and incredibly grateful to be part of this clay community.🤍

🏺 Day 2: Behind the Scenes |
Welcome to my happy place. ✨ I’m so excited to finally show you around the studio!
The front of my space doubles as a little showroom — which will be open TONIGHT from 5-8pm! Move further in and you’ll find shelves filled with work in all stages of completion, my kilns, and my shipping station stocked with every box size imaginable. I even shred old cardboard to reuse as packing material — because sustainable shipping matters to me. 📦
Then there’s my creative space — and it is full of inspiration. Art everywhere I look, plus my ever-growing mug collection from so many incredibly talented makers. It brings me so much joy to be surrounded by work I love while I’m making my own.
When it comes to actually creating, I work with my slab roller and my hands, along with a collection of molds, templates, and cutters that help bring each piece to life. I like all my tools within reach — there’s a certain rhythm to the work, and I never want to break it.
And yes — there are plants. Lots of them. 🌿 Big windows, good light, and greenery everywhere. Honestly, it’s the studio of my dreams and I don’t take it for granted for a single day.

If you want to see behind the scenes in person stop by 900 Keo Way Studio 411 from 5-8pm TONIGHT!

This one had a hidden crack, and gravity kindly finished the job. Part of working with clay is knowing when to let go. Not every mug makes it out into the world, but every one teaches me something. Even the broken ones.

Here’s to the brave mugs that help clear the path for the next good batch.
