Winners of the booze baskets were drawn at Ladies Night, and the last was picked up today. Don Ritter won the Peach Panic basket, Greg Fox the Barntown Sours, and Maggie Campos won two baskets- the margarita and the Moscow Mule, but she got away without a picture. Congrats tot he winners and thanks to all who supported the fundraiser!

A sincere thank-you to the United Steelworkers Local 310 – Women of Steel for their generous support of the Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation. Their annual bake sale directly benefits our Mammography Clinic, strengthening access to timely and essential breast health services.

We appreciate the Women of Steel members who joined us today and their ongoing commitment to our community.

We had a busy day today. We first delivered a donation to Broadlawns for their Mammography department, raised from our bake sale in October. From there we headed to the South Ankeny Fareway, where we shopped for Thanksgiving groceries for our 7 adopted families from Families Forward. Next stop was back to the union hall to sort and package up the groceries for each family. At the end of the day, we delivered the food to New Directions Shelter. The money to purchase the groceries was raised during our gate collection in September.

Thank you, once again, to everyone who supports these efforts each year. We would especially like to thank UAW Local 450 for a generous donation of $350 for the Thanksgiving and Christmas efforts.
