Happy Halloween to our Detroit ghouls 🎃

IMPORTANT:

We appreciate all your support in coming to the Bankle Halloween party and very much so for our advanced ticket buyers! It means a lot to us that you went so far as to buy advanced tickets and wanted to spend your holiday with us. 

So ...

For tonight’s event we are shifting from a public ticketed event, to an exclusive PRIVATE BYOB art reception for friends and family.

We got into a timing situation with the liquor control board and the city compliance and wanted to stay above board, so we had to decide whether to cancel the party completely or have it be a free private reception and donations based. We love this city and bringing people together so we chose to continue to do this one for the culture. 

Line ups and times are the same. Event is complimentary with password, seek it out 😉 and PLEASE DON’T LET IT LEAK!

We want this party to be a gift to our long time friends and family and those who have supported us through the years, so let’s keep it safe and special. 

Bring costumes and your own alcohol beverages, 21+ only! Let’s keep a great crowd and have fun. Trick or treating will be in house.

Our charity partner is Successful Communities, a non-profit dedicated to repurposing blight, helping clean up our neighborhoods, and helping provide resources to our veterans.

BANKLE HALLOWEEN returns …
This Halloween, Street Works transforms the historic Bankle Building into a living exhibition:

- 3 rooms of Art + Design
- 2 stages of Detroit’s best electronic music
- A full bar with seasonal cocktails

All in Brush Park on Friday, October 31st inside one of Detroit’s most dedicated creative spaces.

The agenda:

– Live Electronic Sets – Two rooms (Camilo’s Studio + The Collective) with all-night lineups of Detroit DJs + producers spinning techno, house, breaks, bass, liquid + DnB

–  Immersive Art Exhibitions – Installations themed for the holiday, digital displays + a rare Halloween ballroom curation (NOW TAKING ART SUBMISSIONS until Thursday October 16)

Drinks, tricks, and treats – We will have plenty of tricks and lots of treats for our guests, including Limited-edition drinks crafted for the night.

- Costume Contest – Prizes include art, cash, and the chance to produce a creative event with Street Works!

THIS THURSDAY July 17 - We are excited to hold to co-host a mixer celebrating the life and legacy of the late Jeffery Montgomery, the courageous LBGTQ+ civil rights leader, with the crew of his documentary film “America You Kill Me”

We will be showing behind the scenes footage of the film while promoting his amazing story of activism and unity in the face of tragedy and oppression.

“America You Kill Me” is the unforgettable story of Jeffrey Montgomery, a fiery and fearless activist who turned personal tragedy into a lifelong fight for justice. After his partner was murdered and police refused to act, Jeffrey launched a movement—co-founding the ‘Triangle Foundation’ and taking on hate crimes, discrimination, and political indifference with sharp wit and unstoppable determination.

SESSIONS 001 - Producer Feedback. Next Thursday May 1 6:00-9:00 PM we are inviting producers from metro Detroit to submit their music for exhibition on a club ready Turbosound rig and for live feedback.

PRODUCERS submit new and original music as a .WAV to [email protected]

We will follow the feedback session up with an hour of networking and open decks for our producers and creators. Deadline to submit is Wednesday April 30 at 9:00 PM. Big ups to the creators, looking forward to hearing your work!
