Day 3 of Read a Little, Art a LOT! is in session! ⁠

We are midway through the week and these kids have been absolutely thriving! All week long, Art Educator and School Programs Coordinator Janin Wise has been guiding our 5–8 year olds through stories and projects that stretch their imagination and celebrate their love of reading and art.⁠

Story time leads straight into creating, and watching these kiddos explore new mediums and light up over what they make is everything. ⁠

Two more days of stories, projects, and pure imagination ahead, we can't wait! ⁠

Your summer just got a whole lot more interesting. The Wiregrass Museum of Art is bringing back one of our most beloved events, and we're turning up the volume. ArtFX is an immersive afternoon experience where live DJ sets meet our visiting exhibitions a collision of sound and color that has to be felt to be understood.

No ticket. No age limit. Just good music, great art, and an atmosphere that'll have you staying until the last song.

Tomorrow from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, we're hosting a special zoom panel discussion with curator Meredith Laura Lynn and the full roster of artists behind The Forest Was Rebuilt With Scrap and Ply -Adda Farcus, Katie Kehoe, Cristina Molina, Jonathan Traviesa, Christina Vogel, and Margaret Curtis.

This is a rare opportunity to hear from every artist in the room - six distinct voices sharing the ideas, experiences, and creative processes that shaped the work on view. The conversation will explore themes of beauty, grief, and resilience.

The Forest Was Rebuilt With Scrap and Ply is on view through June 27. This talk is free and open to the public.

This is the one you don't want to miss and you can join from anywhere.

On Wednesday, June 10 at 5:30 PM, all six artists behind The Forest Was Rebuilt With Scrap And Ply- Adda Farcus, Katie Kehoe, Cristina Molina, Jonathan Traviesa, Christina Vogel, and Margaret Curtis come together live on Zoom alongside curator Meredith Laura Lynn to talk about the work, the process, and the world that inspired it.

This exhibition asks hard questions about beauty, grief, and what it means to make art while the earth itself is changing beneath our feet. These are Southeast-based artists who know that vulnerability firsthand. Wednesday night, they'll speak to it directly and you get a front row seat from your own home.

Six artists. One curator. One hour. All of it free.
