GOOD NEWS! After 25 pieces this week, I think I got it figured out. I lowered the bisque fired temperature and most of it came out. Only a few pieces cracked, and that may be because I was pouring things too thick. Next week I will fill in some pieces to complete orders and start shipping again.

Well I’ve gone through the roughest two months I’ve ever experienced in over 30 years of producing raku. The new slip is cracking almost every piece (over 35 now) but I’m hoping to get it worked out soon. I have lowered my bisque temperature and it seems to be working. Got 10 more in the kiln today. Wish me luck, I need to get some of these order out.
