Help Support Julie Stacy After the Loss of Her Beloved Husband, Dave Costa

A Community Coming Together to Help a Dear Friend

Julie (Jule) Stacy, a cherished member of our arts community has recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of her beloved husband, Dave Costa.

For the last 15 years, Dave courageously battled serious health challenges. Throughout these difficult years, Jule remained by his side as his devoted wife and primary caregiver, providing unwavering love, compassion, and support.

Julie was a resident artist at The Art Center, where she maintained a studio and pursued her passion for art. As Dave's health declined and his need for care increased, Jule made the difficult decision to give up her studio so she could devote herself entirely to caring for her husband.

Over the past year, despite numerous hospitalizations, his condition deteriorated significantly. He was left bedridden and requiring 24-hour care. On October 15, he peacefully passed away with Julie by his side. As you can imagine, the emotional, physical, and financial toll on Jule has been tremendous.

Now, as Julie faces the unimaginable grief of losing her husband, she is also confronted with the financial challenges of maintaining her home and meeting everyday living expenses.

I am organizing this GoFundMe fundraiser to help ease Jule's financial burden, allowing her some time to grieve, heal, and begin rebuilding her life without the added worry of immediate financial hardship.

Julie is not only a dear friend but also a valued member of The Art Center family. I witnessed her devotion to Dave and the sacrifices she has made throughout his illness. She has given so much of herself over the years, and now I hope we can come together to give something back to her.

No donation is too small. Every contribution, regardless of the amount, will make a meaningful difference in helping Jule navigate this incredibly difficult chapter of her life.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for helping support Julie during this painful time in her life.
